 (posted 2020-11-05 02:52:19.437) Hi,
In the top panel showing the page:
https://www.thorlabs.com/newgrouppage9.cfm?objectgroup_id=5428
we can see the focal lens shift as a function of the wavelength for the lens AC254-100-E, showing a focal lens shift from -0.6 to about 0.8 microns.
However, in the graph located in the table below ("3 - 5 µm Air-Spaced Achromatic Doublets"), one can see the same trend but the shift is mulitiplied by 10! (from -6 microns to 8 microns).
Is there an error in the first graph?
Thanks! YLohia

I, unfortunately, seem not to be able to find information about the material thicknesses in AC254 lenses.
Could you please provide me with the center thicknesses and the edge thicknesses of the silicon and the germanium lenses in AC254-100-E, please?
Thank you very much in advance!
Kind regards,
Florian Herbst YLohia
(posted 2020-05-04 12:52:08.0) Hello Florian, thank you for contacting Thorlabs. This information is given in our Zemax files for this lens and we are working on adding this information to the Specs table for ease of access. For the AC254-100-E, Silicon lens center thickness is 2.15 mm and the edge thickness is 1.67 mm. The Germanium lens center thickness is 5.00 mm and the edge thickness is 5.20 mm. |
